General Motors designers, engineers and sculptors have shaped many of the cars and trucks currently on the world's roads. Their creative expression has provided generations of drivers affordable and stylish mobility. Over the decades, the language of design has connected with customers of all kinds and continues to speak today with passion and ingenuity. Take part in rolling out the next generation of clean vehicles.
As an organization, GM Design reflects the ongoing convergence of design and engineering disciplines on the front end of the vehicle development process for a leaner, more flexible organization. This new configuration shifted brand and production centers into studios organized around vehicle architecture, supporting a streamlined global design process.
Every car and truck produced by GM gets its start at our world-renowned Design Centers. Here, over 700 people contribute their blood sweat and tears, the sum of their own unique talents, to create the world's most exciting and forward-thinking designs.
GM Design's sculptors and creative designers have well-defined career paths from entry-level positions focused on learning the organization and methodologies to mid-career positions with assignments that provide increased responsibility, challenge and complexity.
